One of the greatest qualities of our Lord Jesus is that of meekness. When you hear the word “meekness,” what comes to mind? Maybe someone who is calm and gentle and soft spoken? But that is not meekness. Meekness is truly what is in the depth of an individual. Meekness is a quality of the Spirit, not the flesh or attributes of the flesh. Since it is a fruit of the Spirit, it has to come forth by way of the Spirit, not of the flesh. When the Spirit rules a person’s innermost being, then that person will have the quality of meekness. A person who has become meek readily repents when he blows it. He is always ready to acknowledge his faults and mistakes. He is receptive of others’ interaction in his life.

The person who is meek is sensitive to the Spirit’s call. His spirit does not want to offend anyone else. He will not be insensitive to the reactions of others.

A meek person immediately senses when he/she has said or done something wrong. Even when being in the Spirit we can make mistakes that might offend others, so we must walk circumspectly in the Spirit.

When a person is not walking in meekness, he will not be able to receive what God is doing or saying in a service. Life will seem dry and boring. But in meekness we will be able to receive from the Lord what He is trying to do or say.

I think the greatest value of meekness is that nothing will move you. I think of Jesus’ experiencing threats and curses, yet He wasn’t moved. He simply stayed in the will of the Father and kept going in the path of righteousness and holiness.

We need more meekness today; even though meekness is difficult to identify, if we are sensitive, the in-dwelling Spirit can tell us when and how we need to exhibit it.

Thy Face I Seek


Luk 1:5-20 (KJV) “There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife [was] of the daughters of Aaron, and her name [was] Elisabeth. (6) And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. (7) And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were [now] well stricken in years. (8) And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest's office before God in the order of his course, (9) According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord. (10) And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense. (11) And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. (12) And when Zacharias saw [him], he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. (13) But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. (14) And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. (15) For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb. (16) And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. (17) And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. (18) And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years. (19) And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings. (20) And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season."
It seemed as if the people of God had been praying for a long time when the announcement of Messiah was made. God revealed Himself to those involved and declared, “Your prayer has been heard. My Words shall be fulfilled in their season.”

The church is now extremely close to another period of history in which God is going to reveal Himself. And it will be to those who are “seeking the face of the Lord.” In fact, He is instructing us to seek His face. Psa 27:8 “Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.”

God does not just speak this way because He wants attention. He does so because something grand is going to take place. This is the season for it. He has something of vital interest to give us that the familiar pattern of daily devotion cannot accommodate. When God speaks this way to His people, things begin to happen that are beyond the norm. God wants to lead us with an effective life to bring healing and salvation. But this is not the season to seek for things. It is to seek for Him. It is His touch of holiness reaching out to us. We seek the face of God to abide with Christ where we can become aware of His Presence continually.

Exodus 33:7 says “Everyone who sought the Lord went out…” If we are truly seeking the Lord, we will go from the place we are to find Him. What is the place? It is the place of familiarity. Normally, familiarity is not wrong; but remember, Jesus told His disciples to follow Him – to come out of the familiar pattern of living for a period of time. This separation is necessary because the familiar controls the flesh. He wants us to be spiritual.

At this season what are you willing to leave behind to find the Lord? Too many today are content with the familiar. Why? Because it makes us feel secure. But without a vision from God, we will perish. If we don’t find for ourselves the will of God we will become a half-hearted Christian that leaves us miserable.

God has more for us than living as mere people without purpose and fulfillment. God is raising us up to be as Christ is. The fullness of Christ must become a reality in this season of God.

If our security is rooted in the familiar, we will not grow to the full stature of Christ. When I say the “familiar,” I am talking about the natural things of life: The things we see and touch every day. The Lord is calling us to a place of the unseen and unfelt power of the Holy Spirit that will root us in Christ.

When Zacharias confronted the angel who spoke to him, he said, "How do I know this is God?" Who am I? Many are going to miss God’s visitation because they keep questioning instead of obeying, all because they don’t know who they are in Christ!

What was the outcome for Zacharias? He became dumb = involuntary response. Have you ever asked, “Why did I do that?” Involuntary response! We must seek the Lord beyond the familiar, finding our security in Christ and where He is taking us. Too many are acting dumb today because of their involuntary responses and because they don’t believe the Word of the Lord to their lives.

Think about why you sometimes keep going through the same thing over and over again. Because it is more familiar! Why do abused victims keep going back? Because that is all they know! We are in a time where God is moving in ways we have never seen or felt before, so the flesh calls out to come back to the familiar. Human nature does not like change, but clinging to the familiar keeps us in bondage.

God is saying Mat 6:6 “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”

Get out of the distractions of the world and find the peace of mind that comes with seeking the face of God. Every moment you seek the Lord, an enrichment of new power and strength from the supernatural realm of glory is imparted to you. There is no time limit in seeking God. Those who tell you how long to pray are stuck in the familiar. God will call unto you many times throughout the day if you will listen. Leave the camp of the familiar and discover a fresh presence of God.

PRAYER: May the Lord restore our “houses of prayer” this season as we remember our first love for the One who gave His life for us and has made us each a temple of His Holy Spirit. And may we each rededicate our lives to our purpose as Believers according to: 1Pe 2:9 (KJV) “But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”

Dec. 1: Reveal to me the way I should go. Let me experience Your faithful love this day for I trust in You.

Dec. 2: “I will comfort the afflicted. I will endorse the weak if they will trust Me and wait for Me. I will reveal Myself in ways not yet seen and they will find the strength to keep going.”

Dec. 4: When sickness strikes Your people, they become so weak it is difficult to reach up to You for help. It is hard to pray. All we can do is trust! It is my desire that we move in Your Spirit in all our ways and that no sickness, disease or accident impair our view of You. Thanks be to God. This is Your will, O Lord.

Dec. 7: I cherish the most precious gift of all – God is Love!

Dec. 8: “You are with Me, Son!”

Dec. 12: To do righteously, to love mercy and walk humbly with my God - That is my hearts one desire.

Dec. 13: Your love fills my being. Your presence is indescribable and oh the joy that wells up within. To walk throughout the day without being disturbed from this would truly be heaven.

Dec. 16: “Keep following Me and I will lead you to wholeness. The struggle is between the good and evil, but you are safe if you keep following; and you will experience My salvation and light.”

Dec. 19: “Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.” I impart My strength to build you up and make you strong to carry out My will.”

Dec. 23: Everything that is happening is for the refining of the elect. The events of life are working out for your good so you can accomplish and become all that I call for. There is no fear in any of this because I am in it.

Dec. 25: “That which you have given up over the years for Me will be fulfilled in their time. I have seen the sacrifices and still see the desires of your heart. You will not be disappointed in My plans for your life. The reality of all good things will be manifested.

Dec. 31: As we end this year I say, “Thank You to the best year ever. Your presence is more real than ever. I am blessed because of obedience and following You no matter what. My prayer for the New Year is that My walk and My talk will be pleasing to You. Amen.”

A New Song


Isa 54:1-3 (KJV) “(1) Sing, O barren, thou [that] didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou [that] didst not travail with child: for more [are] the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD. (2) Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; (3) For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.”

Many Christians have yet to see the fullness of the blessings of Christ burst forth in their lives. Part of the reason is a constant diversionary attack from the enemy upon the plans of God for their lives. The pursuit of happiness and prosperity that has all but overtaken modern day preaching has also pushed the bride of Christ to become increasingly self-absorbed. God’s heart is all about the souls of people. The Lord cares more about the condition of the heart of a man than He does about a mountain of gold. Christians can have all the wealth of the world and still be considered barren, because worldly wealth is as hay, wood, and stubble. It is time to pull down selfish earthly and fleshly strongholds and instead expand the perimeters of the Kingdom of God in our lives by putting on the mind of Christ.

2Co 10:3-5 (KJV) “(3) For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (4) (For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) (5) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”

If we are married to Jesus Christ, we will not seek our own desires above or before seeking the fulfillment of His purpose for our lives. That is the mind that Jesus Christ had toward God the Father, and that is the focus that we should seek to gain toward Jesus. In these last days there will be awesome times of blessing for those who are obedient to walk closely with the Lord. They will see and seize the opportunities to bring the gentiles into the Kingdom of God. They will be made able to do greater works as they follow the direction of the Lord. The church will no longer appear to be a mockery, filled with powerless and philosophical attendees, but will be the living organism that is spiritually empowered by the very source of life.

Isa 42:5-10 (KJV) “(5) Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: (6) I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; (7) To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, [and] them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. (8) I [am] the LORD: that [is] my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. (9) Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. (10) Sing unto the LORD a new song, [and] his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof."

Let us allow the Lord to put a new song in our mouths: A life-song that we live out, that exalts and glorifies God and that causes others to be born again.

Kid’s Korner


A Father wanted to read a magazine but was being bothered by his little girl, Shelby. She wanted to know what the United States looked like. Finally, he tore a sheet out of his new magazine on which was printed the map of the country. Tearing it into small pieces he gave it to Shelby and said, “Go into the other room and see if you can put this together. This will show you our whole country today.”

After a few minutes, Shelby returned and handed him the map, correctly fitted and taped together. The father was surprised and asked how she had finished so quickly. “Oh,” she said, “on the other side of the paper is a picture of Jesus. When I got all of Jesus back where He belonged, then our country just came together.”

How do you stop deception? The cross! Deception is all around us because we keep feeding the flesh and doing what we want instead of denying ourselves and taking up our cross and following Him. You cannot follow Christ and be in sin at the same time. That combination is deception. To think that you are better off in sin is deception. To think sin is OK is deception. Paul says it this way: 1Co 6:9 “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,” 2Ti 3:1-2 (KJV) “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. (2) For men shall be lovers of their own selves…”

We are in those days and people are caught by the snare of the devil, but it feels so good they are not aware of the fall that is coming.
I find it surprising that so many can see the signs all around us yet continue to feed the flesh instead of the Spirit. I am continually broken before God because of what I see happening, but I must keep my eyes on the Lord to keep my peace and joy. It is only in the Spirit and by the Spirit that we can know God and live in His continual peace. Everything else is futile and a waste that will bring no continual satisfaction. Needless pains and sorrows will be avoided if we walk after the Spirit and not the flesh.

As children of God we know what it means to walk in the Spirit. It means to let God be in control of my every attitude and action and to do what He says. It will be costly and painful, but the reward will more than make up the difference and always it is worth the price to serve God His way.

Positive Act of Redemption


Act 3:26 (KJV) “Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.”

The salvation and grace that are in Christ Jesus turn us from our wicked ways. If the Gospel does not turn us from our wicked ways, then we have not received the scriptural Gospel. We hear preaching that tells us if we believe in Christ we will escape hell. But the Lord Jesus Christ told us that we escape hell by ceasing to sin. Satan tells people that grace will cause God to forget about our sin because we are forgiven. But the Bible says we have to turn away from sin.
There are two major parts of our redemption. The first is the forgiveness of sin and removing of the sinful nature. But the second is the forming of Christ in us.

Adam and Eve had no sin nature, no compulsion to sin, until they made a willful choice to disobey God. They had no experience of sin, no training that taught them how to judge between good and evil so they could reject the evil and embrace the good. If Christ had been formed in them, if they had been trained to judge between good and evil and to reject the evil and cling to the good, they would have been able to resist the compulsion to disobey God.

They did not have a Bible to explain to them how to serve the Lord in righteousness. They did not know to be born-again. They did not have a divine nature in them. They had no idea of eternal life.

God created Adam and Eve in a shameful condition (it is a shame to be naked). He knew what He was doing. And God knows what He is doing when He permits us to be born with a sinful nature. IN FACT, GOD KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT HE IS DOING EVEN IN THIS GENERATION.

God sent His Son as a sacrifice for the sins of the world, and as an example of how to live a godly life. God does not want puppets. He created us in a shameful condition.(Revelation 3:18). Why? So we could learn to obey Him and deal with shame.

God has deliberately created an arena in which we could sin if we choose to do so. Then He steps back to see what we will do. Why? So He can teach us how to be obedient to Him and to walk in His righteous ways because of His great love for us. The way we live our lives is extremely important to Him. But we have to have the Divine nature operating in us to build immunity, a resistance to sin. IT IS NOT ENOUGH JUST TO HAVE A DESIRE TO PLEASE GOD. WE MUST POSSESS HIS NATURE SO WE ARE EMOTIONALLY AND SPIRITUALLY STRONG ENOUGH TO LIVE RIGHTEOUSLY – this is what pleases God.

Righteousness is not a standard of behavior we finally attain. Righteousness is nothing more or less than obedience to God at any given moment.

If Divine redemption includes forgiveness of sins with deliverance from the sinful nature, as well as the Divine nature of Christ developed in us so we can mature in the knowledge of good and evil (Heb.5:13-14), then we should be able to walk free from guilt condemnation and defeat.

But we will not be free unless there is power in the Holy Spirit to take us from the compulsion of sin to a place of deliverance where we are not pressed down to defeat continually. [It may not seem like it right now while you are being processed by the Holy Spirit.] But let me tell you a little secret of God: He is bringing us to a place where we are going to get the upper hand over all these things that move us.

The Bible tells us that if we continue in sin we will not inherit the Kingdom of God. But it also says we have an advocate with the Father who is Jesus Christ, so if we sin we can seek for deliverance in order to obey the commands of God. As we do so with the proper intent the Holy Spirit will put to death these sinful deeds in us. THIS IS THE NEGATIVE DIMENSION OF SALVATION – the removing of the power of sin in us. It is negative because it is painful, causing us to see another side of God that we have not been used to.

So what is the positive side of redemption? It is when we are changed into the moral image of Christ – when the Father and the Son come to dwell in our transformed nature, and it is when we finally finally begin receiving a glorified body of flesh and bones – a body formed as we allow the Spirit to crucify our adamic nature and raise us up to walk in the resurrection Life of Jesus Christ.

Once again, the negative side of redemption is the removal of sin which restores us to the position of Adam and Eve before the fall. The positive dimension is the development in us of the knowledge of what is good and what is evil, and a tremendous willingness and power in us to embrace the good and totally resist and reject the evil so we can obey God. THIS POSITIVE ACT IS ACCOMPLISHED AS WE ARE FORMED INTO THE IMAGE OF CHRIST. (Rom.8:29 & Jn.14:23)

Are we going to continue to cling to the Gnostic teachings that believe in the name of Jesus we go to heaven to live in a mansion, or will we accept the true Gospel of Jesus Christ that requires us to be changed? This is our redemption.

It is interesting how Jesus spoke to us about sin: (Matthew 5:29). Today’s paraphrase: “If your eye causes you to sin, accept Jesus Christ and be forgiven.”

Mat 5:29 (MSG) "Let's not pretend this is easier than it really is. If you want to live a morally pure life, here's what you have to do: You have to blind your right eye the moment you catch it in a lustful leer. You have to choose to live one-eyed or else be dumped on a moral trash pile.”
Satan wants us to continue to believe we are saved by grace no matter how we live our lives. The truth is that a sinner belongs to hell until through Jesus Christ his desires are transformed and he puts away his sin and serves God with a whole heart:

Act 3:26 “Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.”

True salvation turns us, from our wicked ways. If it isn’t changing us then we have not received the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

We will not be changed by going to Paradise. It didn’t change Adam and Eve. It didn’t keep them from obeying Satan. Paradise does not change what we are, but it does reveal what we have become, as in the parable of the talents.

Every time we choose to turn away from sin and call upon the Lord for wisdom and power, a part of us dies. In its place comes eternal life. It is called “living off the body and blood of Christ.” We are called to daily sow to the Spirit to make us true disciples of God – that spiritual communion will give us eternal life.

If we choose to yield to the sinful nature, we reap destruction! We reap from our nature the nature we have sown. It may not be revealed in this life, but it will be revealed in the next.
The positive act of redemption includes training us until we understand what is good and what is evil, forming Christ in us, and making a way for the Father and the Son to dwell in us.

We are trained in righteousness by allowing the Spirit to point out to us some aspect of evil within. We then go to prayer, turn from the evil and receive from the spirit realm the body and blood of the Lord. In this manner Christ is formed in us. As we are ministered to and minister, the Word of God is written in our minds and on our hearts, and we recognize what is good and what is evil. We are then given the ability to embrace what is good and totally reject what is evil. This is how we are built into the stature of the fullness of Christ. If we are faithful in this process the day will come when the Father and the Son will make their home in us. Then our WARFARE will be accomplished.

This will be the first generation of its kind to do spiritual warfare without being taught what to do. Today’s religion has thrown out all evidence of true Spiritual Warfare. It is not a boxing match between demons and people in the church. WE CAN NO LONGER BUY OFF GOD TO GET WHAT WE WANT.

We must be warlike in battle concerning sin! Psa 144:1 “Blessed [be] the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, [and] my fingers to fight:”

When we have learned this lesson, we will hesitate no longer when Satan approaches. We will instantly cry out: “GET THEE BEHIND ME, SATAN!” And what will he do, but flee from you.

This day may seem like a downer for many because of what God is doing, but the day is at hand, even before us now, the image of Christ is coming forth. Soon the fiery trials will have been worth it all as the positive act of redemption makes us mighty warriors and deliverers of evil.

Nov. 4: “America is about to hemorrhage. She is like a bleeding ulcer. What she eats affects her. If it is good she gets better. When it is bad she gets worse. Little by little it is getting worse, but that time is yet appointed before she fails. I hear the cry of My Beloved and I still long for My church to rise up in her glory and beauty and strength. The enemy will lash out with all his fury and many will fall. The darkness will cover the land and distress of this nation will come to fruition. Continue to stand firm and speak My truth and prepare My people.”
Nov. 8: “Whatever happens, you are to be at peace in Me. When you are not, something else is trying to rule your heart, soul and mind. Always come back to My rest and I will give you peace.”
Nov. 10: “You will inherit all things My Father has given to Me. You will remain steadfast and finish your course. You are in My will and accomplishing My Father’s purpose in you. Carry forth My plans with a glad heart and do not allow heaviness to rule you. I am your strength and salvation through it all.”
Nov. 13: Such a warm embrace from You, my Lord and Savior. How you accept me when I feel down. You are my encouragement. Thank You for the Holy Spirit’s guidance more than anything. May Your people be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Nov. 14: “I have given you a ministry of reconciliation that righteousness will come forth producing the relationship I desire for My people. This is an eternal work. Do it with all diligence, knowing that you are making a difference.”
Nov. 20: “Thank You, Lord, for your words of encouragement. Just to hear Your voice always is a delight. I can’t repeat all that You said, but I am truly blessed. In quietness and trust I obey. You are truly faithful and there is strength.”
Nov. 24: “Allow Me rule in every area of life and you won’t carry unnecessary burdens. Life does not always need to be difficult. There are days, but there is time for great fellowship and rejoicing with what I have done and will do. Even with the darkness closing in, you can enjoy My life in you.”
Nov. 29: “Things are not as they appear to be.”

Secret of Holy Living


Here lies the precious secret of holy living. We are dead to sin; alive to God. The reign of sin is over. What has sin to do with a dead man? Nothing. Well, then, the believer has died with Christ; he was buried with Christ; he is risen with Christ, to walk in newness of life. He lives under the precious reign of grace, and he has his fruit unto holiness. The man who draws a plea from the abundance of divine grace to live in sin, denies the very foundation of Christianity. “How shall we that have died to sin, live any longer therein?” Impossible. It would be denial of the whole Christian standing. To imagine the Christian as one who is to go on, from day to day, week to week, month to month, and year to year, sinning and repenting, is to degrade Christianity and falsify the whole Christian position. To say that a Christian must go on sinning because he has the flesh in him is to ignore the death of Christ in one of its grand aspects, and to give the lie to the whole of the apostle’s teaching in Romans 6 - 8.

Three boys are in the school yard bragging about their fathers. The first boy says, “My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a poem, they give him $50.”

Learning Obedience Toward God


People are not born naturally obedient. We cry for self-satisfaction with the first breath we breathe. And, the first decisive word we speak is almost always the word, “no.” So how do we learn to be obedient? First, we must be willing to change. Obedience is built upon two main characteristics: humility and cooperation. Those two major qualities do not come built into the human nature; they must be learned, so to learn obedience we must make the choice to apply humility and cooperation to our decisions when considering God and His Word.

Heb 5:8-12 (KJV) “Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; (9) And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; (10) Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. (11) Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. (12) For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which [be] the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.”

That scripture is part of a letter sent to the church. The Christians there had not been maturing in the faith of God, and it was evident by the way they were living. They could not endure strong preaching because they were not adhering to the elementary teaching they had heard from the beginning of their Christianity. That same type of immaturity is rampant in the lives of many Christians today. People should not profess to be Christians and continue to live like sinners. Head knowledge alone will not work in Christianity, because Christianity is only evidenced when it is applied to a person’s way of living.

Heb 5:13-14 (KJV) “For every one that useth milk [is] unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. (14) But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, [even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”

Now that we recognize the problem, we also need to recognize the solutions. Jesus told His disciples to go and make other disciples; therefore all Christians are supposed to be disciples; or followers of Christ. As followers of Christ we must bear our own crosses daily by dying to the old sin nature, and by putting on the new man which is fashioned after our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That can only be accomplished by relinquishing our demands for things we desire, and by examining our motivations. We must stop acting like babies. Babies that are growing into small children are known to throw fits, or temper tantrums. They often fall to the floor screaming and crying in efforts to persuade their parents to succumb to their will. Wise parents know that they must teach their children to obey. God is the wisest parent of all, and He is constantly working on our behalf by the leading of His Spirit, to bring us to the fullness of maturity, so we must stop insisting on our way and learn how to be obedient disciples. Discipline must be applied to the life of anyone who is to be a disciple. Others had the responsibility to discipline us when we were children; but now that we are adults by age, it is our responsibility to discipline ourselves, and to do whatever it takes to learn to be obedient to Jesus Christ our Lord.

Joh 15:8-11 (KJV) “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. (9) As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. (10) If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. (11) These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and [that] your joy might be full.”

I had a vision of the blackest clouds ever rolling in from the sky. It was like black smoke from a fire. They kept coming and coming and going right around me and through me. And each time one did, I shivered. I asked the Lord what this was. He said it was hordes of demons coming down on America. They were all over the land, ready to cause war on the nation.

Whether we like it or not the tides of war are all around us. It is not any longer a matter of “I don’t want to fight.” It is a matter of being ready and able to fight. There is a battle raging against the enemy of our souls, and against the church. Are we going to stand for righteousness, or are we going to give in to the enemies of God as they fight against us.
Because this war is going to cause much bloodshed, we must continually remember that we are not fighting against flesh and blood. The enemy is Satan and demonic forces that keep us at odds with each other.

Repentance is the key to stopping flesh and blood battles. Continually keep yourself in an attitude of repentance, bringing a protection of the blood of Jesus over your life. Don’t look at others as enemies just because they think differently than you do. Don’t allow anger from someone else to set you off and agitate you. Walk in repentance and renounce the works of darkness over your life. Keep yourself in the love of God and allow the healing virtue of Jesus Christ to fill your inner-most being with deliverance from bondages that oppress and make you incapable of fighting for the victory.

Like it or not, we all are going to have to fight

Psa 140:1-7 (KJV) “Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man; (2) Which imagine mischiefs in [their] heart; continually are they gathered together [for] war. (6) I said unto the LORD, Thou [art] my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD. (7) O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.”

Destruction of the Enemy


1Co 15:25-28 KJV “For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. (26) The last enemy [that] shall be destroyed [is] death. (27) For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under [him, it is] manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. (28) And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.”

The Lord Jesus is now waiting for the Father to bring all His enemies and make them a footstool for His feet. The Father has been at work for 2000 years to put all these enemies under the rule of Christ. The last enemy to be destroyed is physical death. But it will take a warlike remnant of believers who do not consider their own lives and who will enter into the rest of God to bring destruction to these enemies of Christ. If we believe the Lord’s return is upon us, then we must rise up with a willingness to be victorious and to follow the Lord through to the fullness of salvation.

The land of Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey, symbolizes our change into the moral image of Christ, and to enter into the Father’s rest.

Phi 3:8 “Yea doubtless, and I count all things [but] loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them [but] dung, that I may win Christ,”

Heb 3:14 “For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;”

Partakers of Christ means a share of Christ! Why? To be able to endure any and everything that God allows to come into our life. If we do this, we will be protected from the wrath of God.

When Paul tells us we must attain unto the resurrection of the dead, he is telling us we must pursue Christ to the point of possessing Him by overcoming every enemy. Phi 3:12 “Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.”

When Hebrews talks about our rest in God, it is speaking about being victorious over the enemy. ARE YOU VICTORIOUS OVER EVERY ENEMY OF YOUR LIFE? Don’t stop short. Jesus Christ paid the price for total deliverance – for total deliverance from your enemies.

When our new inner-nature is born of God that means the old inner-nature must be brought down to death and defeat by allowing the Virtue of Christ to rule in us over everything that opposes God.

Today when we speak about a Gideon’s Army it is speaking about a people who are being loosed from the grip of Satan. As soon as this remnant gets freed, then the remainder of the body will be delivered. [Picture one soldier who is injured rooting on the rest who can still fight. WHICH ONE ARE YOU?]

As soon as the victory began to be won by Gideon’s 300, the remainder of Israel was able to join in the victory. In the same way, all of God’s Church be able to press into the fullness of Christ when the warlike remnant presses through.

Why has this struggle been so long? Why did God withdraw the apostolic anointing after the death of the eleven, thus making it possible for spiritually-minded men to reason the Kingdom of God? Why was there 100’s of years of darkness? Why was there a torturous Protestant reformation? Why are there erroneous teachings about salvation, faith, prosperity and the rapture? BECAUSE GOD WANTS PEOPLE TO BE CONVINCED OF WHO HE IS AND WHAT HE DOES! Have you ever noticed your own battles of believing and accepting the ways of God? How many times do we plead with God to do something, only to find over time His reasoning has been righteous and just all along?

The written Word of God is given to correct and to convince us of God and His ways. All God has to do is correct one small area of our mental reasoning to release a whole new way of living that increases the image of Christ in us. And beginning with that, little by little, every inch of our being becomes transformed if we don’t stop. Old things pass away and all things become new and as we learn all things are of God.

Little by little God is going to convince His Church of the necessity of following the Spirit of God. His body will no longer be willing to hear some new-fangled idea of how to save the world. Their hearts are now being convinced that only the Lord saves as people hear from God. Religious leaders may not be convinced, but our God is big enough to change their hearts and minds as well.

Whoever presses into the fullness of Christ overcomes in three areas:
· No longer living naturally but from the body and blood of Christ Jesus
· No longer obtaining pleasure by yielding to sin
· No longer pursuing one’s ambitions to accomplish self-satisfying goals

As long as these enemies exist in your way of thinking, we cannot have the fullness of Christ. Rev 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

Satan cannot be cast down until there are Christians who overcome him. Satan will finally be crushed under the feet of the saints (Rom.16:20).

Satan can only be overcome as people seek to live by the Life of Christ instead of by their natural physical life. They must refuse to yield to sin for their own pleasure, and they must reject their own will and ambitions to find the desire of their Beloved. These will turn away from the adamic nature to live by the Life of Christ as He lives by the Life of the Father. We do this every time we refuse to yield to our own desires so that we may please Him.

DID YOU KNOW THAT VICTORIOUS SAINTS REFUSE ALL JOY EXCEPT THE JOY THAT COMES AS THEY DO THE WILL OF GOD? Why do you think there is so much turmoil in the majority of the body of Christ?

The remnant is seeking the rest of God – that rest is the Life of the Lord Jesus Christ in everything they are and do. To have that rest means crucifying the flesh daily. It is living by His Life, His thoughts, and His actions, i.e. it is learning to live by the power of Christ’s resurrection. Those in the remnant are willing to share in His sufferings. They count all personal accomplishments as rubbish in order to gain Christ.

We are now followers in travail to overcome the world, sin and corruption so that when the Lord returns we will be ready for resurrection life that will already be dwelling in us. This preparation is the redemption of the last days.

We were saved the moment we accepted Jesus Christ, but we are being saved moment by moment as we submit to the Spirit’s leading.

Heb 3:14 (KJV) “For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;” This verse leaves us with expectation. There is a sense in which our gaining more of Christ is possible only as we continue steadfastly in joyous confidence until we come into His rest. TODAY THE LORD IS REVEALING A NEW EMPHASIS IN THE CHURCH - THAT OF ENDURING TO THE END. There is too much false assurance in the pulpits of today. We must come back to the godly way of assurance. The enemies must be overcome. We must pursue Christ Jesus above all else.

Every victorious saint today is witnessing the travail in the remnant. I want to see you overcome in hearing and obeying the voice of the Lord. Don’t you want the same for me? This is the travail that doesn’t stop short until it accomplishes His purpose.

The return of the Lord depends on a group of people who will say the final “yes” to the Lord by turning away from their own self-confidence of the flesh, of sin and of self-rule and who will serve God without limitations.

The day will come when this wrestling match will end. Satan, will have been completely defeated by Jesus Christ working through victorious saints. But before Michael is empowered to cast out Satan, there must be a remnant of believer’s, the Lord judges, who have overcome all that the Lord requires.

2Co 10:6 “And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.”

CLAIM YOUR MOUNTAIN AND MAINTAIN IT, PUTTING DOWN EVERY RULE, EVERY ORDER, AND EVERY POWER UNTIL JESUS CHRIST IS EXALTED IN EVERY AREA OF YOUR LIFE.

Being transformed into Christ’s image requires faith in the Lord as we experience victory after victory and as we refuse to look back while the process is being accomplished. Remember Lot’s wife. “Let us hasten the coming of the Lord by entering into our victory today .” (2 Pet.3:11-12)

Oct. 28: “Many are stuck in the locks today, waiting for the waters to rise so they can go forth in revival. You follow Me. Nothing will stop My Father’s plans and purposes. This is a time when My church will experience new things to make them strong for the fight. The enemy is on the prowl waiting to surround the saints, but I have the way of escape. Follow hard after Me.”

Givers and Getters


(a sequel to ‘Users and Seekers’)

Rom 8:5-8 (KJV) “For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. (6) For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace. (7) Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. (8) So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.”

Would anyone really go to church as an attempt to satisfy the desires of the flesh? Realistically, it is possible for any of us to fall into the trap of having our heart set more to receive than to give when we go to church. It is possible that such self-centeredness is causing the downfall of the church at large. In response, multitudes of churches in the United States have been making drastic changes in the way they operate. Some of these changes are more than enough to raise a few eyebrows. Church service times have been made to accommodate those who don’t want to get up early on Sunday. Attendees have been given a choice of multiple services to accommodate the diversities of musical preference. Refreshments of coffee and donuts have been provided, sometimes at the back of the sanctuary, in an effort to draw in sinners and the backslidden, as well as to maintain current church attendance. The question is; WHY WOULD CHURCHES TRY TO LURE PEOPLE UNTO CHRIST BY APPEALING TO THEIR FLESH?

Joh 6:43-44 (KJV) “Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves. (44) No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Jesus Christ is the King of kings, not a Burger King Restaurant, and His instructions have not changed; so how can we justify catering to the flesh as an attempt to make disciples? Jesus’ disciples were always told they would have to suffer the same kinds of things that their Master suffered. They were not told: “Have it your way.” Jesus Christ has not changed; He is the same yesterday, today and forever. If the people of God were to follow His instructions and go out daily into their realms of influence to find the people God is drawing to Himself, the “church” would increase daily as God touched people’s hearts.

Mat 16:24-25 (KJV) “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. (25) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.”

Some people still think that those instructions were just for the twelve chosen by Christ to be disciples at that time, but the scriptures clearly say that Christ was talking to all of the people, as well as to His hand picked disciples.

Mar 8:34 (KJV) “And when he had called the people [unto him] with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”

Denying one’s self does not usually appear at the top of the Sunday bulletin, but it is at the top of the list of instructions that Jesus gave to all who would come to God. And if we are to be honest with those to whom we minister, we will give them the same word. Being a Christian is all about following Christ, not anything about picking and choosing what we expect from a church. If the church that God leads us to lacks anything, perhaps He sent us there to help fill the void. If not to fill the void, then perhaps as we do the great commission, we will bring in those who will fill the void. I once heard a very wise preacher say, “When it is time for us to grow up, God will no longer allow others to find our spiritual food, chew it up, and put it in our mouths.” Those leaders who would casually allow Christians to remain infantile are doing them a great injustice.

Joh 10:27 (KJV) “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” “Sheep” are mature and have been trained to follow the master. “Lambs” are infantile and will not be able to walk the walk if they do not mature. One Pastor concerned for the welfare of the flock under his care stated, "User-friendly" was first used to describe computer software and hardware that is easy for the novice to operate. Applied to the church, it describes churches that offer a decidedly benign and non-challenging ministry model. In practice, it has become an excuse for importing worldly amusements into the church in an attempt to attract non-Christian "seekers" or the "unchurched" by appealing to their fleshly interests. The obvious fallout of this preoccupation with the unbelievers is a corresponding neglect of true believers and their spiritual needs.”
Church, we don’t need to attract everybody to the building on Sunday; we need to fulfill the great commission by the leading of the Holy Spirit, and then those who become believers will want to be joined in the building together with those of like faith.

Mat 28:19-20 (KJV) “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (20) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Violent attitudes and responses are beginning to increase nationwide. People are adamant about what is happening. We must be extremely careful how we react and what we say or do. We are the light of the world. We are not to join in demonstrations or battles of the flesh. God is not pleased. Our eyes need to be opened to see what is happening in the spirit realm. Our fight is not with flesh and blood. God is in control of our lives and will only allow what is necessary to draw us closer to God and more into the image of Christ Jesus. Persecutions are going to increase as has been prophesied. They come not because we oppose the ways of the world, but because we adhere to the obedience of Christ.

We are called to be peacemakers. The amplified says “the maintainers of peace.” For these are called the sons of God. We are in a time when all of creation is earnestly awaiting for the sons of God to come forth. I haven’t seen this come to pass yet, but I want it to. However, I won’t make it happen by my actions. It will happen by the actions of the Holy Spirit in us. People are not going to understand this and will oppose all of it when it begins.

So don’t involve yourself in the carnal things. As you wait on the Lord and obey Him, you will find yourself becoming a true peacemaker for the Lord.

False Judgments


2Co 3:18 (KJV) “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

Today we are beginning to experience a deeper and stronger anointing. IT IS THE GLORY OF GOD that has changed us from the old nature into the new creation of the Lord’s image. None of this transformation is happening by might or by power but by the Spirit of the Lord who is allowed to have His way in our lives. You cannot make this happen; you can only yield yourself to a place where He is in control in every area of life. During this process, we must remember that. Philippians 1:6 (KJV): “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”

While this transition is taking place it is easy to fall into the complacent old nature that says, “Nothing is happening with me”; but when you do, a cloud begins to hang over your life. It works like this. Everything is going well in the spirit realm and it seems the sun is shining down on your walk. But then something will happen, either to you or someone you know, and you begin to question what is happening, things aren’t right, it must be me, or someone else is affecting me. Soon, an indistinguishable cloud hovers over your life and begins to wear you down. You begin to be disturbed about situations; depression begins to come over you; you can’t figure out why you are so down; and before long, you feel as if you aren’t going to make it.

At this point you can do one of two things; Stay like you are, OR get out from the covering over your life and keeping the glory from shining through. Remember, we are being changed from glory to glory, but that glory gets covered by worldliness, sin, and religion.

What does this dark cloud consist of? Mat 7:1-2 (KJV) “Judge not, that ye be not judged. (2) For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.” Every time we make a wrong judgment, the cloud of darkness comes back. Revelation 19:2 tells us the Lord’s judgments are “true and righteous altogether.” But when you make a false judgment based on what you see or experience, the same judgment that you have made will come back over you. These clouds of false judgment keep the glory from being manifested in your life and ministry. They stand in the way of God’s revealing Himself upon you and in you.

God’s true and righteous judgments come through the thoughts, the intents, and the discernment of the heart.

righteous = holy in character (that which is appropriate)

judgment = justice according to God’s law; by the spirit not by the letter of the law

Isaiah 11:3 (KJV) “And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears.” So the only way we can judge accurately is with the Spirit of Christ in us. John 7:24 (KJV) “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”

judge not = do not decide with your mind and come to a conclusion

appearance = superficially

When we judge unrighteously, we are judging based on what we are accustomed to. We justify people and circumstances by the way we were taught. [Ex: As a teenager you do not like the way your parents raise you, but when you grow up, if you have not dealt with that issue, then you will be exactly the same toward your children.] If you don’t like the exposure of the wrong ways you operate, you will judge wrongly what is happening and believe you could go somewhere else and do better. But you won’t. Behavior modification does not change us. Over time you will end up the same person. Head knowledge does not change the way a person is. Only heart-felt change – from glory to glory - will enable you to judge properly and with the Spirit for new situations as you go through life.

The carnal judgments that bring the cloud of despair over your life can only stay if you do not repent for false judgments. Until we are changed, we may have to repent often to keep the cloud from covering the glory that is being revealed. Remember, Jesus says, “The same judgment that you hand out will return to you.”

We have to remember the requirements of God: Micah 6:8 (KJV)
“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”

God doesn’t want your opinion. He loves you and is not asking your view on how things are going. He wants you built up and blessed so His glory can shine through you into others. The Holy Spirit is given to you to encourage, edify, and strengthen your life. God will build you up with righteous judgments, but with unrighteous judgments you can tear it down that which He is building. YOUR WORDS OF JUDGMENT CAN ABORT WHAT THE HOLY SPIRIT IS DOING!

Not only do we give out judgmental words, but we listen to them. For example, you may have control over your own words, but you don’t have control of walking away from someone who doesn’t. [I have had to hang up the phone when listening to someone judging falsely.] When false judgments get into your head they fall into your heart and begin to grow. They are weeds without any control. They will affect you and the way you feel. Pretty soon here comes that dark cloud and you begin to feel condemned, worthless, and before long you want to give up. In addressing unjust false judgment, Jas 2:4 (KJV) “Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?” God is looking for some righteous people who will neither enter into the spirit of false judgment nor partake of it.

To rid ourselves of false judgments, we need to ask the Lord to bring to our minds unjust situations we have judged in the church, in our families and on the job. Given enough room, even a little judgment will grow. I know that some have spoken out in jealousy toward others in the church because so and so is being used more than they think is necessary. That is false judgment. Not only are we driven from the presence of the Lord because we will not walk in loving forgiveness, but we are kept from receiving the next level of His glory in our lives.

Did you know God can’t use you when you carry false judgments? You may not realize that you are carrying them until you ask. So again, ask the Lord to bring to your mind people and situations you have misjudged. Ask about comments that might have brought you into agreement with someone else and caused you to make a wrong judgment. Begin now. It may take awhile, a day or even a week. But He is faithful if you mean business with Him and want to be free from the clouds that keep the glory from shining through.

Once you discover what you have been doing, ask for the Lord’s righteous thoughts and judgments. Seek to see the person or situation from His Holy Perspective and allow the Holy Spirit to replace your unrighteous thoughts and judgments with His righteous ones.

Learn to believe the best about yourself and others until you know from Him something else. This issue is much bigger than you may think right now and is affecting many people. Now is the time to rise up and be set free.

I believe if we follow His directives, His glory will break forth upon us!

Pastor’s Journal 2008
Sep. 1: Your profound direction in our lives and the church continues to amaze me. I am still doubtful of so much yet You remain faithful and are fulfilling Your word in us. I am eternally grateful and honored at Your call and fulfillment. Thank You, Precious Lord.

Sep. 2: “Know that God has set apart him that is godly for Himself.” (Psm. 4:3)

Sep. 5: I am determined to follow You. I have set my face like flint and I will press forward.

Sep. 6: “Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.” (Eph. 6:10)

Sep. 13: “Stop feeling sorry for yourself. You go through this when you compare yourself to your peers. Are you not growing and advancing My Kingdom? Do you not know My ways yet? I have you where I want you to be. Enjoy My ways. Live in the Spirit and no weapon formed against you will bring defeat. I am not going to abandon My Word or My work with you!”

Sep. 15: “To the one who overcomes will I grant to sit with Me on My throne.”

Sep. 19: “No regrets, you have the better part of Me. Face to face, while others accept what they can get, you keep coming back for the fullness and this, you shall have.

Sep. 22: “Living Word is an end-times church. You have seen the people come in and leave before their time is complete. You have suffered great loss because of the message I have given. You are called to be a hospital. Now you will have those come in for a time of treatment and when their time is complete, they will move on; but it will be My calling. You will let them go in peace and they will be blessed. You will experience My ways this time as people hear and understand.”

Sep. 28: You will revive us again according to Your wonderful mercies. Let us not drown, O Lord, in all this mess around us. Keep us according to Your Word.

Sep. 29: “You have seen right. We are moving on. Don’t look back. Don’t have regrets. I am guiding you with My eye. You will come to a greater place. There will be protection and you will be safe in My arms of love. You will learn of Me in this new way of living and grow closer than ever. Continue to rejoice, for the steps of the righteous men are ordered of Me.”

Users and Seekers


Luk 11:9-10 (KJV) “And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. (10) For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”

What are we asking God for? When do we ask? Why are we asking?

Jam 1:5-8 (KJV) “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. (6) But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. (7) For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man [is] unstable in all his ways.”

The attitude with which we approach the Lord in prayer reveals whether we are users or seekers. While some user prayers are as obviously rote as a weekly shopping list, others are less easily identifiable. Are we seeking the Lord for Himself or are we using Him for what we want Him to do for us or to give to us? What happens to our relationship with Him when we do not receive the answers we expect or demand? What is the heart-motivation behind our fervency? Have we asked for and heard God’s will on the matter? Since “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God,” we should be asking God to reveal His will, His word and His witness about every matter. A daily seeking of God’s will, word and witness to our born-again spirit is evidence to born-again believers of the close relationship between God and man which Jesus dies to restore.

Rom 1:28-32 (KJV) “And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; (29) Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, (30) Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, (31) Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: (32) Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”

We must ask ourselves honestly, “Do I like to retain God in my knowledge?” In other words, do I really want to know God and obey His commands? Or do I just want to believe that there is a God who is just sitting back waiting for me to cry out to Him every time I need something? Using God is not the same thing as serving God! If we examine our motives and ask God to reveal to us the truth about why we live the way we do, He will show us. And if we ask Him to help us change, He will help us. And if we will do what He says as He is helping us, we will be walking after the direction of His Spirit and will be less likely to be double-minded when we are confronted with life situations which need fervent prayer.

Psa 37:23 (KJV) “The steps of a [good] man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.”

The path of righteousness is narrow, but our limitless God is willing to help us if we will only let Him order our steps.
